Leah Bailly is a fiction writer, scholar and facilitator from Western Canada. She has won honours from the Canada Council for the Arts, the Alberta Foundation for the Arts and the Alberta Literary Awards, Summer Literary Seminars, Graywolf Press, The Banff Centre, Breadloaf, MacDowell and Yaddo. Her writing has appeared in journals PANK, Joyland, Prism International and on CBC and NPR radio.
Leah holds a PhD in Creative Writing & Literature at the University of Southern California, where she was the Wallis Annenberg Fellow in fiction. She also has a BFA from the University of Victoria and an International MFA from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where she was the Deputy Editor of Witness. After ten years in the American West, Leah has returned to the unceded Coast Salish territory (Vancouver, BC) where she teaches literature and creative writing.
